Doodle Gingerbread Men

For this tutorial you will need to have basic knowledge of Paint Shop Pro. (My illustrations and instructions are written using version 7, but you should be able to comprehend with any version).

SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN!

Colors we will be using for this tutorial (but you may use any colors of your choice in place of these):


Open up a new transparent canvas. 100 X 100 for EACH of the different Gingerbread Man poses. Paint brush setting at size 1.
**Note: All Shadow colors will be the same colors used for the outlines.

Body Outlines:


Fill:
****Note: Instructions are the same for both Gingerbread men. Use any color of Red for the mouth and any color for his buttons.
Activate Magic wand . Click inside Gingerbread Man. Flood fill with Beige color (#DEB58C). Click Selections, then click Float. Click Effects, 3D Effects, Cut Outs using these settings:

Vertical 0
Horizontal 0
Opacity 100%
Blur 10
Shadow color - Brown (#7C5244)
Fill Interior with color box UNCHECKED. DO NOT DESELECT!

Click on Effects, Noise. Add Noise: 10% Uniform. DO NOT DESELECT!

Add New Raster Layer and Name it Blush. Using color #FF8080, paint your blush on cheeks. Illustration below:


Click on Effects, Blur, Gaussian Blur with a Radius of 1.00. NOW you can Deselect. Merge, Merge Visible.

Open a new Raster Layer. Name it Icing.

For placement of the white icing, please refer to the illustrations below:


Merge. Merge Visible.

To save your graphic(s) with a transparent background, click Edit, then click on Copy. Open up your Animation Shop. Click Edit, then click on Paste....as a new animation. Save as a gif from there and you're finished!
