For this tutorial you will need to have basic knowledge of Paint Shop Pro. (My illustrations and instructions are written using version 7, but you should be able to comprehend with any version).

SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN!

We will be incorporating two other tuts into this tut.....The Animated Floatie Background tut and the Sticker Effect tut. You will need to do the Animated Floatie Background tut first before proceeding with this tut.
Click HERE for Animated Floatie Background Tut
Click HERE for Sticker Effect Tut

*********
Open up both your Paint Shop Pro AND your Animation Shop. Open up your Animated Floatie Background in Animation Shop.
Click "Edit", then click "Select All". Now click on the following export icon Image:

(This will send ALL the frames over to Paint Shop Pro as layers)
Image

With the top layer highlighted, select your Text Tool. (The "A" icon). On your paint pallette, select Black for your Background (Fill) and Nul your Foreground (Stroke).
Click on your graphic to bring up the Text Entry Box.
You will need to use a thick font for your text. (For this tutorial, I am using Impact).
Use the following settings in your Text Entry Box:
Image

Depending on the size of the name you wish to type, you may need to adjust the font size. Type out the name you wish. (Don't forget to check the Vector circle).
Click OK and your text will look like this:
Image

You will notice the little square nodes situated around your text as well as a center little box. With your cursor, you can stretch, pull and move your text to fill up your graphic where you want. It would look similar to this:
Image

Now on your layer pallette, right click on your vector layer and "Convert it to Raster Layer" and rename it "Template".
Activate your magic wand. While pressing down on your shift key, click inside each of the letters of the template (the marching ants should be around each letter).
Click on Selections, then click invert. This will now put the marching ants around the edge of your canvas as well:
Image

While the marching ants are still around all the edges, activate your layer "Frame 8" (highlight). Click your delete key on your keyboard. Now activate your layer; "Frame 7" (highlight). Click your delete key on your keyboard. Repeat this process until you have finish doing this to all eight Frame layers. Deselect (Selections, Select None).
Highlight your template. Copy and paste as a New Image. Set that aside. Go back to your layered canvas and delete your template layer. It will now look like this:
Image

At this point, it will be your choice if you wish it to stay this way OR....if you want a little dimension to it, we can add an inner bevel to each of the 8 layers. Starting with your highlight layer "Frame 8", click on Effects, 3D effects, Inner Bevel, using these settings:
Image

Click OK and Repeat this with ALL the frames. Once you have complete that, "X" out of your frame. The following box will pop up:
Image

Make SURE you click YES! This will update your frames in Animation Shop to what you've done to them in Paint Shop Pro. This will also automatically take you back to Animation Shop. Leave your animation there and go back into Paint Shop Pro.
*******
Now you still have the Black Template in Paint Shop Pro. Enlarge your canvas to make room for the Sticker Effect; (by clicking on "Image", then click "Canvas Size" and then change the sizes to enlarge your canvas). (For this tut and the size of the floatie, I enlarged my canvas to 200X200 pixels).
Follow the tutorial for making the sticker effect. For my sticker effect, I have an outer layer of white (3 pixels larger than my word, a light blue layer (2 pixels larger than my white layer) and a green layer (2 pixels larger than my light blue layer. It looks like this:
Image

Once you have completed that, (make sure all your layers are merged....including your template), click "Edit", then click "Copy". Then go into your Animation Shop and then click "Edit", the click "Paste.....as new Animation". You will have a single frame of your template. You will notice that your floatie name has 8 frames. You will need your template to also have 8 frames. With your arrow tool, click inside of your template frame (to activate it). (Now if you know how to use the icons above, you would click to copy and paste after current selection until you get 8 frames, but if you aren't sure of the icons, you can do it this way): With your template frame activated, click "Edit", then click "Copy". Click "Edit" again and then click "Paste"...after current selection. Then click "Edit" again and click "Paste"...after current selection again. Repeat that until you have 8 frames of your template:
Image

Now, with your arrow tool, click on your floatie name to activate. Click "Edit", then click "Select all". (This will activate ALL the frames in your floatie name.) Click "Edit" again, then click "Copy". With your arrow tool, click on your template to activate that. Click "Edit", then click "Select all". Then click "Edit" again, then click "Paste"....Into selected frames. Before you click again, make SURE your floatie name is lined up over the template, so none of the black of the template is showing:
Image

Once it is all lined up, Click on your mouse. You will now have your Sticker Effect Floatie Name tag! (You will also still have your Floatie name without the sticker effect). Save your Sticker Effect Floatie name tag (or save both) as a gif.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! :D
