Many Thanks to Lynne aka DoodleMuffin for allowing me to use one of her Posers for my Title and Signature pictures. To see more of her wonderful posers, visit her at: http://doodlemuffinsbitsandbobs@yuku.com Thank you & Have fun!
For this tutorial you will need to have basic knowledge of Paint Shop Pro. (My illustrations and instructions are written using version 7, but you should be able to comprehend with any version).
SAVE YOUR WORK OFTEN!Illustrations in this tutorial of the swirl bling are larger than original size for easier viewingRight click and save to your computer, the following two graphics (the swirl and the grid template):

Open both graphics into your paint program.
Rename your layer in your grid template to;
Grid templateCopy and paste (as a new layer), the swirl graphic onto the grid template graphic. You should now have two layers on your template graphic.
It should look like this:

On your layer pallette, right click on your swirl layer and duplicate. Do this a total of 19 times to give you a total of 20 swirl layers and 1 Grid template layer.
For ease and purpose of this tutorial, we'll rename our swirl layers. This should make it easier to explain in the tutorial on some of the steps and also to know where you are.
Starting with the bottom swirl layer, right click on layer pallette and rename that layer; 1a. Click on the swirl layer just above 1a. Right click on that layer and rename it 2a. Continue to do this up to 10a. You should still have half of the swirl layers unnamed. Starting with the layer above 10a, right click and rename that layer 1b. Click on the swirl layer just above 1b. Right click on that layer and rename it 2b. Continue to do this up to 10b. (That should be your last layer to rename.) It should look like this on your layer pallette:

Now click on your eraser tool and change the setting in the tool options to the following settings:
Shape: square Size: 255 Hardness: 100 Opacity: 100 Step: 25 Density: 75 Buildup: Checked
See illustration:

Starting on the top layer layer, activate (highlight) that layer. Click ONCE with your eraser tool approximately around the center section of the swirl. (You won't see any difference because you still have all your other layers open). Now click on that layers' eyeglasses to hide that layer and active (highlight) the layer below it. Click with your eraser tool somewhere different than where you clicked for the previous layer. (Again....you won't see any difference because you still have all your other layers open). Now click on that layers' eyeglasses to hide that layer and activate (highlight) the layer below it. Repeat this until after you've reached layer 1a. DO NOT hide that layer. You should now only have two layers open; Layer 1a and the Grid Template layer. Make sure your 1a layer is still highlighted.
Your layer pallette should look like this:

Hopefully, you should have one or two pixels still showing on your swirl, above the first line of your template. See illustration:

(If you don't have that, pixel one or two in at that time)
Now change your eraser tool to the following settings: (The size isn't important, so if you need to change that to your own preference, that's fine)
Shape: Square Size: 10 Hardness: 100 Opacity: 100 Step: 25 Density: 100 Buildup: Checked
See illustration:

Make sure your 1a layer is highlighted. Starting just below the top line on the grid, erase all the swirl EXCEPT that top pixel or two above the top line. It would look similar to this:

Hide your 1a layer and UNHIDE and activate your 2a layer. With your eraser tool, erase everything below the second line. It would look similar to this:

Continue down on your grid with each layer UNTIL YOU REACH LAYER 1b!!! (You shouldn't have to erase anything on your 10a layer).
Now activate your 1b layer. (Only your 1b and your template layer should be showing). With your eraser tool, erase the pixels ABOVE the top line of the grid template. See illustration:

Hide your 1b layer and unhide and activate (highlight) your 2b layer. With your eraser tool, erase the swirl section ABOVE the second line of the grid template. See illustration:

Continue to digress down with your eraser tool with each grid section and up with each layer until you have finished erasing EVERYTHING on layer 10b.
Now UNHIDE ALL LAYERS! Make sure you don't miss any layers! Delete your template layer>>>>>(On your layer pallette, right click on template layer to activate and select Delete). You should have only the 20 swirl layers.
SAVE AS A PSP IMAGE! Name it 'Swirl Bling'.
Open up your Animation Shop. Open your Swirl bling image. You should have 20 frames of swirl bling. At this point, you can save as a gif OR if you don't care for that hot pink, we'll change it to White.
Click 'Edit', then click 'Select All'. Click 'Animation', Click on 'Replace Colors'. Use the following settings: (You may want to change the tolerance to what works for you but for this tutorial, I have these settings)
Selected Frames: Marked, Number of frames should read 20, Old color hot pink (click on that box to bring up the color pallette. With your eyedropper, click on any part of the pink on any of the frames of your swirl bling). That should set that to the hot pink color., Tolerance: 200, Match Mode: RGB Value, New Color: White (Click on the box to bring up color pallette and change to white.....or any color you choose), Click OK.
See illustration:

Save as a gif and you are finished!
Thank you for trying out my tutorial!
Hugs and smiles,

Shezzy
Note: For the swirl bling in the title picture, I duplicated my bling in Animation Shop, then selected all frames and mirrored them. Then I selected all, then selected copy. Then I went to the other frames that weren't mirrored and selected all, then selected paste (into selected frames). I lined up my pixel and placed it on top of the original pixel and clicked to set. Then I made a filled in circle bling (same procedure (tutorial instructions) as the swirl bling). Then I opened it in Animation shop. I selected all, then selected copy. Then I clicked on my swirls bling and selected all, then selected paste (into selected frames) and lined up my circle over the top of the start of the swirl bling. Resize that to 50% (all layers).
